What is the Green Valley
Institute?
The Green Valley Institute exists
to help communities and citizens in The Last Green Valley sustain their
environment and quality of life while growing their economies. We
are a non-regulatory organization dedicated to:
- Improving the knowledge base from
which land use and natural resource decisions are made,
- Building local capacity to protect
and manage natural resources as our region grows.

The GVI targets audiences who most
influence land use in the Corridor, including private landowners,
municipal boards and commissions, Corridor land trusts and local
builders/contractors.
Our goal: to insure they have the information,
knowledge and resources they need to make good land use decisions
as they plan for the future.
Our vision: that one day, land use
and natural resource-related decisions, at every level from the
individual landowner to The Last Green Valley as a whole, will be made by
informed individuals who have up-to-date information and the resources to follow through
